Galentine’s Day Soirée: No Theme, No Dress Code, Just Girlfriends

I love a well-planned event. The details, the decorations, the thoughtful touches — I live for it. But what I love even more? Creating an experience where my friends feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease.

That’s exactly what I had in mind when I hosted this year’s Galentine’s Day Soirée. No overcomplicated themes, no forced activities — just good food, great drinks, and an open invitation to show up as you are.

A Celebration That Spanned States

While I hosted the soirée for my local girlfriends, I wanted all my friends to feel the love. So, I sent floral arrangements to some of my best girls in other states and handwritten cards (with a little gift card surprise inside) to others. Because distance shouldn’t keep us from celebrating the friendships that matter most.

The Soirée Details

I handled (almost) everything. I made deviled eggs, my aunt and sister cooked everything else from mac n’ cheese to chicken bbq, and my high school bestie was my mixologist who made Raspberry Lemondrops and Beyoncé’s Texas Buckiin. I decorated the space (see my tablescape and hand rolled rose cloth napkins), put together gift bags, and even ordered a custom sign to make the night feel extra special.

We played games, reminisced, and toasted to the kind of friendships that only get better with time.

Why This Matters

This wasn’t just about one night in February. With Women’s History Month in full swing, it feels even more important to recognize the bonds that carry us through life.

Because friendships — especially female friendships — deserve to be celebrated loudly, often, and without reason. 💖
